The TV List

It has been obvious that I haven’t been working out. Or working for that matter. So the begging question is what the hell have I been doing with all my time. TV. Here is a list of the TV shows that I generally make a point to watch. It helps that we have a DVR. In fact I rarely watch anything that hasn’t been recorded already.

The OC. Thursday 7pm. I have written about my love affair with this show before. However, I have to admit that I am growing a bit tired of it. I think they have just blown their wad already. Last 2 seasons they had Lesbians, Murder, Alcoholism, George Lucas, Millionaire deaths, Gay dad’s, mothers sleeping with students, etc… This season it has been about whether or not Marissa is going to go to the good school. It is just getting a bit tired.

Lost. Wednesday 8pm. I didn’t watch this show last year. I started watching it this summer. I picked up several of the repeats and it dragged me in. The best part of this show is how they only give you a tiny taste each week. Using the cliffhanger/soap opera style has been a common theme amongst shows like The Sopranos, and Rescue Me.

The King of Queens. Monday 7pm. Kevin James kills me. The wife has become a bit too bitchy but James does not get credit for how funny he is in this show. He stole the movie in Hitch. In fact many people have told me that James reminds them of a skinny me.

Desperate Housewives. Sunday 8pm. My roommates and I started watching this more from the fact that on Most Sundays we have people over for a cookout and the girls always wanted to watch it. I started watching this halfway through last season. They follow a similar cliffhanger plot as Lost is doing.

Rome. Sunday 6pm. Epic production value in this show. Good storylines that tie into real history. This show also has a tone of beautiful Roman tits. I am looking forward to where this series heads. HBO just bought another season.

ER. Thursday 9pm. This is an oldie but goodie. Started watching this show again about a year ago after a long time of not watching it. In my opinion still one of the best dramas on TV.

Smallville. Thursday 7pm. I am a bit embarrassed to say that I watch this but… I love super hero stuff. When I was a kid that is all I played with, and I loved the cartoons on Saturday. They don’t make cartoons like that anymore. The new ones nearly make me epileptic. Started watching this last year. I had watched it before that but the storyline of high school was a bit too much for me. This season they are actually starting to make it more of a show about Superman. Still this is not a show I tell many people about.

Extras. Sunday 7:30pm. If you love the original The Office, then you will like this show. Rick Gervais is one of the funniest people alive. Watch the original Office and then catch this show.

Curb Your Enthusiasm. Sunday 7pm. I had no idea that Seinfeld was pretty much the result of this guy. You see how much of him was actually in that series when you watch this one. I love this show and if you like Seinfeld then you will love this too.

The Biggest Loser. Tuesday 7pm. I think this is the second season. Not sure. I started watching this a few weeks ago and I am hooked. Still I can not help but think that the people on it are tubs of fat…despite the fact that I am bigger then many of them. I see myself in many of them.

Nip/Tuck. Tuesday 10pm. Started watching this last year a bit. If you like sex then you will like this show. It also carries a lot of shock value. Good show.

The Adam Corolla Project. Tuesday’s 10pm. I just love Adam. Very funny guy. The show is about him remodeling his childhood home (which he bought from his dad) and then sells it for at least a million dollars. I love remodeling shows, and this is just funny to watch his friends try to get this project done.

Threshold. Friday 7pm(?). I do not know why I watch this. I am not even sure what time or network it is on. I have it set to record every week and usually I have a couple built up. An alien show that isn’t really about anything. The premise is getting a bit tired. Not sure how much longer this will be on the list.

Reunion. Thursday 8pm. Another show that is terrible but I have watched a couple of episodes and feel as if I need to find out the ending. A 20 episode season, where each show is one year. Going from 1986 to 2006. The acting is better at a grade school musical.

The Office. Tuesday 8:30pm. I loved the original and a bit skeptical about this one. I was wrong they have done a really great job of taking the idea and making it, its own show. You have to watch this show.

My Name is Earl. Tuesday 8pm. Original funny comedy. Jason Lee makes this show. His brother is the guy that played the fat guy in a lot of movies; well he has lost a shit load of weight. Fuck him.

Grey’s Anatomy. Sunday 9pm. Ok, ER knock off. I think I watch this because it comes on after DHW. Starting to drag in the second season.

Rescue Me. (Reruns). I realize this show is not currently on.It just finished its second season. And in my opinion it is the best show on TV and I couldn't leave it off the list. Dennis Leary is amazing in this show. It is one of the funniest and most real shows you will see that is not on HBO. Watch it on F\X.

Out.

Good grief, thats a ton of hours on the couch in front of a TV. I know you dont need me telling you this but you should see a counselor for this. Seriously.
